Jesus instructed his followers to “let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). Serving others and bearing fruit for God’s kingdom are concrete ways to honor him.
The ultimate goal is to move beyond personal self-interest to live intentionally for God’s interests. The Apostle Paul writes, “So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31)
